Why is there no price on this page?
Because the right system depends on your water. A 2-bath city-water home and a 5-bath well home need different equipment, and quoting one number for both would mean overcharging one family and under-protecting the other. We test first, then quote the exact system, with the Hydra HomeHydra Luxe and the hydrogen kit included.
What is the difference between the Hydra Home and the Hydra Luxe?
Both make hydrogen water at your kitchen sink and both are included with your whole home system. The Hydra Home is a counter-top unit that connects to your faucet and makes hydrogen, purified and ozone water. The Hydra Luxe adds 3-stage reverse osmosis, alkaline and chilled water, which pairs whole home carbon with RO at the glass, the combination EPA found effective against PFAS. Use the selector at the top of the page or in the form to tell us which one you want.
How much is the water test, and is it really credited?
It depends on what your water needs checked. A basic city-water panel costs less than a well panel or a certified laboratory PFAS test, so your rep confirms the exact test and price on your call before anything ships. Whatever you pay for it is credited in full on your invoice when you purchase your whole home system. If you decide not to move forward, you keep your results and our recommendations.
What does the water test cover?
We check the parameters that decide system sizing and media selection, including hardness, chlorine or chloramine, total dissolved solids, pH, iron and manganese, and we review your local utility's water quality report for regulated contaminants such as PFAS and lead. If your results call for a certified laboratory PFAS panel, your rep will tell you before you spend anything more.
Who installs it?
A licensed plumber in your area. We help you find one, send them the specifications in advance and stay on the phone if they have questions. The Up Scale tank uses standard 1-inch connections with a bypass, so most installs take a few hours.
Does a whole home system remove PFAS?
PFAS reduction depends on the media and contact time, which is why we size the carbon stage to your flow rate and add reverse osmosis at the kitchen when your results call for it. Granular activated carbon and RO are the two technologies EPA's point-of-entry research found reduced PFAS to below detection limits. Your rep will walk you through what your water needs.
What is the difference between the Hydra Home and Hydra Luxe editions?
Both include the same whole home protection and hydrogen wellness kit. The Hydra Home edition includes our counter-top hydrogen, purified and ozone water system. The Hydra Luxe edition upgrades to a system with 3-stage reverse osmosis, hydrogen, alkaline and chilled water built in. Your rep can switch you between them before you buy.
What about the warranty?
The Up Scale tank carries a lifetime warranty and the media a 5-year warranty, with a rated media life of up to 7 years under normal use. There is no salt to buy and no regeneration cycle to maintain.
